Bold 9700 - lost emails via wi-fi

Phone has worked fine for about 4 years (I know. Time to upgrade) Recently it stopped getting emails thru wi-fi connections. Email are fine over the air. I can still browse the net via wi-fi and phone displays that it is connected to the wi-fi router. Any ideas why this sudden change? Will be much obliged.

Could you please provide a bit more information on this issue?

  1. Are you having this issue on all Wi-Fi networks?
  2. Are you able to send email when connected to Wi-Fi?
  3. Are you able to use applications such as BBM when connected to Wi-Fi?

Thanks for response, but now academic as I decided to upgrade (after 4 years with the 9700) to a Q10. Emails on this currently working fine.
