Bold 9790 - Error 603 & constant reboot loop...

Hello,

I have just received my upgrade phone a Bold 9790.

I used BDS (version 7.1.0.32 - Bundle 33) to switch from my old Curve 8520 (V5.0.0.1036) to the new Bold. Or at least I tried... It all went well until the upload of the data and I ended up with a white screen with an "App Error 603" and there is nothing I can do as it constantly goes into a reboot loop.

I did search around and there are a lot of suggestion about re-installing the OS, which I don't mind doing as it is a new phone anyway. Problem is that BDS does not see the phone now so reloading this way is a no go. I can't get out of the white screen on the Bold either....

Any other solutions?

Many thanks for any help

Hi Nats Ascot

I hope it works, Also after Reload use selective restore from your backup,Don't restore any Application from the backup file.If you want any application download and install it fresh from app world.

It worked and I managed to restore only the essential i.e. contacts and calendar.

Very happy to be able to enjoy my new phone now and mainly Os7!! Can't wait for January so I can upgrade my personal (old!!) Torch to a more modern version!!

Thank you again!!
