I have a Bold 9790 and I just purchased a new battery last week - - - and I am still having the same issues. My batterry can be fully charged and I will either be on the phone, taking a picture, or on the Internet - - - and my phone will shutoff. I then will need to pull the battery for a reset and then sometimes it will say I have 20% or even lower with my battery. So frustrating. I am a professional and I just want my phone to work. I need this phone to last 8 more months since I have a 2 yr contact. ***Can anybody help me please !?!??! (my software is updated and I have done all of the ways to improve your battery life via the BlackBerry webpage.)

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.

I am going through the same ordeal...infact have just posted my harrowing experience on the forum. I too have tried & tested all possible methods, unfortuntely, nothing has worked!! I guess its more to do with the hardware problem than just the battery.
My advise...move on from Blackberry now!!
