Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

Yes, earlier versions of OS6 were quite bad. Although the battery is bigger on the 9700 so you wouldn't notice it as much.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

I'm tired of having to charge my phone all day long, so I'm about to install OS 7.0.0.540 on my 9900. I have a question...

My BB 9900 is AT&T, so everytime I turn on my phone I get the AT&T logo. I'm going to download .540 from www.rroyy.com, will installing that file change my phone, for example will it now say Vodafone, Turkcell, Rogers, Orange or whatever carrier that file was leaked from or is it just a regular OS update?? I don't know if I'm getting my question across.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

Good evening, I understand what you mean and no, it won't change the networks flash screen.

I have an Orange UK 9700 and have changed the OS multiple times and never lost the theme from the network.

Downgrade, yes but you will need to wipe your handset before reinstall. After a backup of course. Smiley Happy

I have had all on. .540 for 2 weeks. Good battery like. All features seemed to work no probs

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

I currently have .440, but I want to upgrade to .540. Just wondering if I didn't like .540, if I would be able to downgrade.

I've read a little about .540 online and have heard great reviews and not so good ones like, this one, http://www.blackberryos.com/blackberry-bold-9930-9900/26598-warning-about-os-7-0-0-540-a.html

Has anyone had this same problem with the leaked version of .540??

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

Man, I have no problem with signal at all.

Only problem is that the phone's battery still not lasting sufficiently enough. It dies around 3 - 4 pm where as 9700 lasts literally entire day!

The phone is sucking up 10+% per hour under medium usage (3 hrs long calls + constant I'm being heavy).

Man, this really bites.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

Glafiro: same answer as before. Backup your phone, wipe, then reinstall from scratch. Although if you have both .440 and .540 on desktop manager it may give you the option to do a straight downgrade but wouldn't recommend it.

Wwwatch: the battery will never match the 9700 as it is just now. But hoping it will get better. 4-5pm is about right for my battery if I give it hard usage as well.
