Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

RIM should recall the 9900.

It's is useless and counter productive. Missing calls resulting from poor battery life and have applied all power saving options of which should not be required or accepted by consumers. Each and every person having this device complains about the battery life. RIM???????

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

many times its an app causing it or people not knowing how to close apps

On device go to Options, Device, Application Management is a great way to see what your apps are doing with your CPU usage on Smartphone. Just slide top bar to CPU and see what is going on. Also touch the CPU menu to see other time variables. I found out that an app was eating away CPU cycles on mine

Disable Compression on media card? go to Options, Device, Storage

using a custom theme? try it for a day the factory default one to rule out your theme

remember the esc key (curved arrow) closes most apps, except for GPS and some chat clients. the other apps need to use menu and then exit or close. The farthest key to the right is a home key and does not close any apps per se but will end calls.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

Ok, we have had a solution to the battery issue for a long time now.

My 9900 and a lot of others last a day+ more on one charge.

Latest OS is 7.1.0.825 and that's official from vodafone D2.

This will provide all the fixes u need to keep you happy.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

Hi there.  Sad as it is to say but hearing our beloved Blackberry Z10 has the same battery issues upon it's initial release.  I'm here in the States so I haven't gotten my hands on it as of yet.  Wondering if those in UK have to say about this thus far.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

I can say that from the 1st couple of days usage

With the Z10 the battery is as good if not better than

The latest bold 9900 os releases.

I can also see it getting better as the apps are constantly getting

Updated.

Re: Bold 9900 Battery Life

Great to hear.  That puts me at ease here in the States.  All I need (not sure if all agree with me) is 1 day of battery usage at a time.

Will you guys be doing hybrids for Z10 as well?

Overall, are you liking the Z10?  Was it worth the wait for us?
