Bold 9900 can not uddate

Hello,

i have a BB bold 9900 with the BB 7.1 1646.
By updating the to 7.1   2534 the update process is always getting interrupt during the 2nd step that mean the installation of the software on the devise. Just after less than 70% of progress, the loading of the software stop.

what to do?

Try updating the phone Through BlackBerry Desktop Manager

  • Check the File Free at Options > Status, what is the number at File Free?
  • If the File Free is less than 30mb, I would delete some items from the device memory, and then:
  • Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
  • Now, try the upgrade again.

This was a post By Sir John_Clark - This will help may help you in Updating :
1. First locate your carrier and the OS file you wish to use.

2. Download the OS file from step 1 to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.

3. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Also check the following locations for vendor.xml files and delete any instances of the file:

On Windows Vista/7 navigate to C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (Where "YOUR_USER" is your username)

On Windows XP navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (Where "YOUR_USER" is your username)

4. Plug in BlackBerry and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
