Half an hour after using my Bold 9900 fine, I took out to find it had a "black" screen.
It did not respond to any keys or combinations of keys.
Took the battery out - put it back in - the boot progress bar gets about 10% of the way across and stops.
Only had this Blackbery 12 days !
Is this a hardware failure or is the OS corrupt ?

Hey pal, did you get any solution to your Bold 9900 boot problem? I've got mine, connected it to my Macbook, did the sync and used it for only TWO HOURS. Since than, it never worked again. Tried everything you can imagine and not a single f... was given to me.
I don't have any red light or booting screen or anything. Got the device yesterday and used it for about only 2 hours. Did you get any help?

Solution - a replacement handset !
Fortunately I was still within the 28 day replacement policy of the reseller.
The new one has worked perfectly. Its definately a hardware fault try claiming under your warranty.
