Bold 9900 screen problem

Hi I'm having problems with the screen on my Bold 9900, when I got to unlock it, the screen lights up, but stays black, but everything in the back ground works, example, I go to unlock it, touch roughly where I have my bbm or facebook icon at, and when the screen starts working, that app is open, any ideas? Its becoming a real pain and making my phone almost useless

Also the phone was originally through Telus, but has been unlocked and I am using my Bell sim card in it

Have you rebooted the device by removing the battery?

Could it be because the phone was originally telus? I noticed something different in the numbers for the OS between bell and telus, I'm not sure if that would make a difference?

No that wouldn't cause an issue like that. It sounds like a hardware problem. Can you return it to where you purchased it? That can be problematic, though, when using unlocked devices.

I hope its something I can have fixed, because aside from that, the phone works great
