Bold 9900 screen - sealed against dust?

As someone who is considering the switch to BB, but has no experience of using one, the one thing that concerns me is that historically, the curve line of BB's used to get a bad rep for dust getting in between the outer screen and the LCD.

I appreciate that the Bold range is probably better built, but is it a problem/potential problem with the 9900?

Re: Bold 9900 screen - sealed against dust?

If what I'm seeing happening to my Bold 9900 is any indication, then yes, it is a problem.

I've got my Bold 9900 on 11/14/2011, and by now (12/9/2011) one half of the screen (the left-hand side) is almost filled up with dust particles. I suspect they could be entering through the earpiece opening that's on that side (upper left relative to the screen), and maybe even the USB opening (middle-left relative to the screen). The dust has recently started propagaating to right-hand side of the screen, too.

It is an ugly situation.

Before 11/14, I had been happily using BlackBerry 8700g for almost 5 years, with only a tiny fraction of the dust it took Bold 9900 to accumulate in 3 weeks accumulating over that 5-year time span.
