Bold Not Connecting To My Mac Anymore

I have had my Bold 9930 since it first came out and have had a few problems with it to be honest. The latest, however, is that it use to connect to my Mac as a USB and would let me back it up using the desktop software. I was able to take photos on and off of it, which is very important to me.

Lately, when I try to attach it to my computer it will prompt me to put in my password so that I can use it as a USB and then it will try to connect. Sometimes I get an error saying that it couldn't connect other times it just ties to connect for awhile and I guess just gives up without any error. This is very frustrating.

I have updated the BlackBerry Desktop Software, but this made no difference. Please instruct me on what I should do!
