Bold Reboots - Less Than A Week Old

Hello,

 

I got a super fast response on previous issue. Thought where else for this one..

 

Yesterday my Bold rebooted itself three times throughout the day. fortunately I was not on phone calls when it happened. I bought it from a local AT&T store, and the mgr. there took my 3G card out of my old Windows Smartphone. I also have the 2GB media card from it in this phone now. I do have BB Appworld with Vlingo Pro and a couple of others downloaded. I only use Vlingo though.

 

I appreciate any suggestions you might have. I need to mail off the UPC code for the rebate, but not if I end up giving them this thing back. I am on less than 22 days to deadline.

Try removing the applications you installed from APPWorld and see if the issue goes away.

 

If it does then add the applications slowly one by one and see which one is causing it.

 

I suspect it is some dodgy software that has not been fully tested against the bold and the version of handset code your running.

 

What handset code are you running?

Do I also need to remove BB Appworld? or just the app's I have. To date IIRC it is Vlingo Pro, Shazam(used once) and the FoxNews one.

I would be suprised if any of those apps made it crash but you never know.

  

I would uninstall the lot and see what happens.

 

ALso check to see if there is an update for your devices O/S here...

I removed all the apps. Did the update software. What a PITA that was. Now up and runnign again with only app being Vlingo. I will keep an eye on it and see when/if it crashes again.

If it is working ok I would add each app one by one and see what happens.
