Bold Sync Freezes

When I connect my blackberry, the desktop manager greys out just as normal (as if it's working on the sync) and by blackberry bold also indicates that it's working on the sync, but the two just stay like that...  They just freeze up, nothing happens, it never ends, and nothing gets synched.  I have had no problems until now. 

 

What should I do to correct this?  Any help is appreciated!

 

My specs are:

Desktop Manager version 4.6.0.13

Blackberry 9000 Bold

Windows XP Professional ver. 5.1 service pack 3

 

ISSUE RESOLVED - did hard shut down and reset.  Resolved issue

I am having the same problem so had no choice but to disconnect the phone and now have an error 523 msg on a blank screen. Removing the battery didnt help and not sure how to reset? new to blackberries
