Bugs in 7.1 Bundle 2039?

HI,

Just recently upgraded my software to version 7.1 Bundle 2039 (v7.1.0.714, Platform 9.6.0.111)

Now, unable to see my emails (via gmail) from the email icon on screen, nor can move icons around (select icon, Move, and when exit icons flip back to original positions.

Any solutions?

Re: Bugs in 7.1 Bundle 2039?

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

Now, see if that is fixed.

Re: Bugs in 7.1 Bundle 2039?

Thanks for your response. Rebooted as directed several times - now able to move icons around, but not emails not appearing anywhere on BB device, allthough notification of an email takes place.

Regards

Dave

towards the top of the screen, in the notification area, can you click that area and see your messages incoming?

On the homescreen, can you press the Menu key > Show All? so that Show all is checked?

Thanks again for you rresponse.

Yes, some, not all emails show near the top of the screen.

SHow all is ticked, reset it, and ticked again, but no change.

Re: Bugs in 7.1 Bundle 2039?

What do you mean by "some not all" show at the top?

Are you speaking of icons for specific email accounts?

Re: Bugs in 7.1 Bundle 2039?

Apologies for being too vague!

In the bar just below the date & time, there is an indication of the number of emails received. If I click on that, I see the first 3 email headings. Still nothing in the email icon down below.

I have reset the email settings in Settings, but no change in behaviour.

Re: Bugs in 7.1 Bundle 2039?

Nope - Is it possible to download the operating system again? I get the message that I'm fully up to date, but would like to try again.....

I don't think that's your best route, just yet.

Could you please post a screen shot of your screen here?
