COULD NOT START THE CAMERA

I HAVE A BLACKBERRY TORCH 9860 AND JUST RECENTLY I HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY CAMERA. MY CAMERA USED TO OPERATE BEFORE. BUT RIGHT NOW WHEN I START THE CAMERA THIS IS THE MESSAGE THAT I GET

"COULD NOT START THE CAMERA. CLOSE OTHER APPLICATIONS AND TRY OPENING THE CAMERA AGAIN"

COULD SOMEONE HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE AND WAS ABLE TO FIND A SOLUTION?

WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR ASSISTANCE

Re: COULD NOT START THE CAMERA

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Here is a KB that discusses that error:

  • KB15544 "Could not launch camera application" error appears when opening the camera on the BlackBerry smartphone

Hopefully it contains something useful! There also are multiple existing threads on this site that discuss that exact error...your review of those might prove useful, and a search of this site, using the error message, error code, or symptom, should reveal all applicable existing threads to you.

Also, you might find this article interesting...

Good luck and let us know!

I've been there before, here is what I do , I dissamble my 9900 and have a little knock on the cam, I insert the battery wait for loading, start the camera and it's working again and put that part all together again Smiley Happy
