Calendar Not Synching Properly with new 4.5 Software

Upgraded to 4.5 software (Verizon, BB 8830) and I have been unsuccessful in synching my calendar (Desktop softward 4.7) since this upgrade.


It deletes all items from my Outlook calendar (or wants to, I hit cancel).  I have had this problem a few months (using Desktop software 4.7 and the previous BB software) and spent 4.5 hours on the phone with RIM... really don't want to go through that again.


I have tried taking battery out for many minutes, deleting Intellisynch folder.


Would appreciate any thoughts or input.
