Calendar not synching properly with Outlook Calendar

I upgraded to 7.1 (bundle 2123) on my 9930 and synching with calendar (Outlook 2010 running Windows 7) is not working properly - it is deleting appointments in my Outlook calendar on the desktop.

I spent hours on the phone with BB support and they did not resolve.  I am planning to call back when I have a few spare  hours but I thought I would ask if anyone else had this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Calendar not synching properly with Outlook Calendar

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

You might want to try cleanly starting over...sometimes things get wonky from an update, and starting over can clean it up. I suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.

Good luck!

Re: Calendar not synching properly with Outlook Calendar

Thank you for your suggestion but it should be easier to upgrade software.  In the many years that I have had a blackberry and I am a loyal blackberry user, I have always found it to be problematic but never this level of problem with my calendar.  I have been printing my calendar and manually updating Outlook.

OH...well, of course, from what you put into your first post, I certainly could not have known that...but it's nice to know that official BB Support is using the processes I've documented here! Woot!

Oh, I completely agree! But, then again, there also should be world peace, no hunger, and good education and equality for all...but what should be and what is are often separated by a wide chasm. And, with computing systems designed, built, and operated by humans, there must always be an expectation of imperfection. In the very worst of worse cases, I've heard of some (a tiny few) that have had to totally rebuild their PC OS installation from scratch in order to rectify certain problems. Drastic, to be sure, but it is what it is. PC's are an open system, where anything can be impacting anything else.

Well, I don't know what else to offer you...the processes I've already provided usually clear it up for most, and for others falling back to a prior DTM version helps. But, since you've already tried all of that, I don't know what else to offer...

Good luck!
