Calendar synchronization - Curve 8520 to Windows Calendar on Windows 7 PC.

Having installed Windows calendar on my windows 7 PC , I successfully synchronizes my smartphone (8520 curve) diary entries with the Windows calendar through Blackberry Desktop Manager. Now, after a period of about 3 weeks when I have come to update the entries I am getting the error message 'The organizer applications on you computer aren't supported'. As far as I am aware I haven't changed anything although it's possible that I might have updated the Blackberry Desktop Software to the latest version. I would be grateful if anyone can shed any light on why this should be happening and any solutions. I have tried it on another PC running Vista Ultimate and have no problems.

Re: Calendar synchronization - Curve 8520 to Windows Calendar on Windows 7 PC.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Please see this:

  • KB12268Synchronization support for BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows

If indeed you did what you suspect, then you may have updated the Desktop Software beyond compatibility with the Calendar app you are using on your PC. If so, then I suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.

Good luck!
