Calendar

I just purchased my 1st Blackberry today and I have one question.  Am I able to edit my calendar and address info on my Blackberry by working on my PC?  In other words, can I add an appointment to the calendar by going on to my PC then sync with my Blackberry?  If so, how? Thanks

Re: Calendar

you will need to install the desktop manager and then you will be able to syncronize the pc and bb.  that way you can add appointments from the computer or the bb and they will sync

Re: Calendar

I just switched from a treo and had my assistant type in all of my appointments via the palm software.  My calendar would then be updated every time that I hot synced.  is there any way to do this with the blackberry software without going through yahoo?

Re: Calendar

there are other programs you can use other than yahoo, you will need the Desktop manager installed though. the DM does have a device switch wizard, but it does not work with the palm software so you will either need to use yahoo, outlook, etc.  hope this helps

Re: Calendar

I have already installed the desktop manager.  Which section is the calendar located on the desktop manager?

Re: Calendar

Hi and welcome to the forums!

The desktop software acts as a tool between your desktop and the BB. It will synchronize, backup, load device software, and allow you to switch between devices.

The Switch device wizard will transfer your current data from your Palm Treo to your Blackberry.

The calendar that you synchronize your BB to is Outlook, Outlook express,Yahoo, Louts notes etc.

Here are some articles to read:

The switch device procedure:

Re: Calendar

Thanks. BTW, the switch device procedure above is a dead link.

Having a master calendat (either the com or the BB) makes no sense.

Say if I have one event for Firday on my BB and another for Thursday on my computer, how do I get them both to get both events on their calendars ?

Have a great day !
