I got a Blackberry 8900 less than a week ago, and the camera has stopped working. When I attempt to use the camera, I get a black screen with the camera bar at the bottom. When I push the trackball button, the camera bar vanishes, and the BB freezes. I have to do a Battery Pull to use the BB again.
When it restarts, it will do exactly the same thing. There are no other applications running (apart from the default, un-closeable ones).
I have tried leaving it off for a little while, and it still breaks. I have also tried a memory clean, and default permission settings to allow.
This is feeling more and more like a hardware issue, and it's very frustrating that the camera has broken after only a few days. It was fine up until last night.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

same problem with mine, running it on OS .509, but it only happens when i use the camera outdoors and in bright sunlight. It may have something to do with the auto bright feature of the screen.
