What the title says...
It's actually the 2nd time I configure my Torch 9800 email. Previous ...hotmail.co.uk adress worked fine.
Any suggestions as to what could cause the problem? I am actually based in France though I doubt that's the problem since previous hotmail.co.uk worked.

In your phone's browser type www.blackberry.com/integrate and try to set it up that way.

Slept on this to chill.
Next day (today) my tel service provider and I tried with other hotmail.co.uk aliases - no joy.
We tried with outlook.co.uk - no joy
We tried with hotmail.com - joy!
We tried with another NON microsoft address - joy!
So, the only 2 instaces where we COULD configure my BB email was with
1) a hotmail.com - address - which none of us outside of the US can use. And
2) with a NON Microsoft address.
Is BB having problems configuring emails using hotmail.co.uk or outlook.com?

Ok I know the source of problem: Blackberry!
Unbelievably it's as if I am blacklisted from Blackberry. Me and tech support from my isp are gobsmacked!
We just spent hours trying loads of permutations, using my email adddress on other phones / different other email addresses on my Blackberry and here is what happens...
Other phones accept email addresses with my name no problems - Iphone etc. Blackberry accepts to set email on my mobile using addresses from any internet operator - but only so long as my name isn't associated.
It's crazy! Only Blackeberry refuses email addresses with my name. Yet I have no credit history problem, or anything at all related to them...
Have you ever heard of a similar problem before?
