Can't Download Software from App World

I can't download v1.2 of the Conversion Cog program. I deleted the old version of this program and also deleted and reinstalled App World. App World says it downloading but it never finishes. It just hangs there. There is 23MB free. Any idea of what is going on here?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

Another user has found a solution to this problem and posted it in these forums...it is to clear the application cache:

1. Open App World

2. Go to My World

3a. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and then press, in sequence R, then S, then T

3b. For Storm/Pearl -- Hold the num-lock (!?123) button so it locks and then press, in sequence 3, then 4, then (

3a. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot

Thank you for your reply. I have a Bold/9000 and the procedure did clear the download but it also removed it from the My World list. Since I have already purchased this program, how do I download it again at no charge?

To re-install your apps, please follow this section of the AppWorld user guide:


For more registration key information, see this KB:


In addition...RIM has released AppWorld version 1.1.0.15...it is highly recommended to be on that version.

Let us know if that does not work as there will be a different path to then follow.
