How long would be an acceptable amount of time to find out if it worked? No matter how I follow these directions, the text still goes into the search bar, and the ' * ' does not come up ... unless I hit it again which means I didn't do the sequence right so I avoid doing that.
Nothing is working for me ... still. But I will try it several times to see if any are a charm.
Can I add that this is extremely frustrating ...

Try a Battery pull please, with the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery 15 seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot device. This will clear all cache like rebooting a PC. Then try again and see if your problem persists.
BESAdmin's, please make a signature with your BES environment info.

I've been having to pull the battery daily for lock-ups and charging issues (sometimes I get the plug saying unrecognized charging source when the source is from RIM directly for use with this phone. Battery pull fixes it). Battery pull hasn't worked thus far for this problem.
I just wiped the phone. Now I lost device analyzer all together. When trying these steps again, I get the same results with the exception that now the asterisk shows up in the search bar.
Is there somewhere to download it??
