I just bought a blackberry bold, rogers branded, unlocked wich i am using it on T-Mobile and i can't install yahoo messenger on it.
i know that t-mobile doesn't have the service book yet and that's why the web browser doesn't work.I managed to make the email work on the device and i also updated my software to 4.6.....162. Some people say that you can downloaded from mobile.blackberry.com but my browser doesn't redirect me to the right place and i also tried to install it from my pc but it says that my device doesn't meet the requierments for the install. I can live without the browser but i would love to have yahoo mess. on my bold.
Anybody knows a workaround to install it?pleaaaassssssssseeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

" i need a data plan wich i have right now but it doesn't work on the bold because i'm on tmobile.so"
Does that mean your data plan isn't working, or yahoo won't work under tmobile?

yahoo messenger works on tmobile but in order to work on bold i need a data plan wich doesn't work on the device because there are no service books for bold. I thought there is a workaround to make yahoo mess to work on the device the same way i manged to make the email to work on bold.

So what you need is yahoo service books?
I do not think that will work without a data plan. How did you get the browser to function ?

OK here you go:
Please let me know how you get this to work.

i wasn't able to make the browser to work, just the email. i have the data plan but it doesn't work on bold because i don't have the service books. from the other posts that i read i undestand that the service book are not gonna be available until tmobile will release the BOLD.
my biggest problem right now is that i don't have yahoo mess on my device because i don't care that much about the browser.
i think i'm gonna cancel the data plan and stick with the 9$ plan from tmobile for email.

What I sent you was the Yahoo messenge service books.
I think you're right though.
Please close the thread OK?
Sorry I couldn't have helped more!
