Can't figure out Email Set up

I have a username and password and when I'm prompted to enter them, I do but then an error comes up on the screen saying "Blank user name.  Type a valid user name"  How can I type a valid user name?  I am so confused!  Please help because the folks I call @ 519-888-7465 won't help without a fee and my carrier says I have to go through Blackberry.  I'm going to switch to a different phone if I can't get this up and running!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I'm amazed...Verizon has some of the best BlackBerry-specific technical support agents...but I've no idea what that phone number is that you are calling. Whoever they are, they have no clue...you need to find the BB-specific support folks at VZW...as per your contract with them, they are REQUIRED to provide you full support for the services you pay for. They CANNOT tell you to "go through Blackberry"...for there is actually no free way to do that, and they are violating your contract with them (your contract with VZW) by saying such things to you.

Given all of that, I deduce that whoever you are talking to are simply not the right folks. Look up other contact information for VZW support and find those that are dedicated to BB-support...I know (100%...I've worked with them in the past!) that they do exist at VZW.
