Can't sync with Yahoo

My email and calendar and everything is through Yahoo...Until just recently I was able to sync just fine with them but for several weeks now it just gives me the message "Yahoo Server temporarily unavailable. Please try again later" but no matter how many times I try back later I can't sync.  Also at some point it stopped reconciling my email messages, so if I read a message on  my phone it still shows as unread in my Yahoo mailbox.  How can I fix this issue?
