Can't update my BB Curve 9360

I got a new BlackBerry Curve 9360 last month and I have tried to plug in my phone to my Mac computer to update it and it won't let me. It gives me the update option and starts the update, but while it is connecting, the update crashes and says the message, "BlackBerry® Desktop Software failed to install your device software. The device was disconnected." My internet speed is fast so that can't be the problem. 

I really need to update my phone as soon as possible but i need help!

Are you using the latest version of blackberry software? If not download the lattest version, this may help with your connection problems, if they stil presist if you own a windows computer trying using that instead and if it dosen't work (with the latest software) its either you're network or you're device. Hope this helped in anyway

I do have the latest version of the blackberry desktop software, and unfortunately I don't have any windows computers is my house.
