Cannot access backed up files on desktop

Just set up my Blackberry - selected "Media" box and backed up to desktop. Followed instructions to change bbb file to zip file and double clicked on it. I get a databases file which have many DAT files which are not accessable. I have videos on the Blackberry which I thought I would be able to access by backing up to my desktop. Any solutions?

Restore Data Device:


Before you begin:
To restore data from the built-in media storage , must be enabled mass storage mode .
Connect the device to your computer .
In BlackBerry ® Desktop Software , click Device> Restore.
Select backup file that contains the data you want to restore.
Perform one of the following:
To restore all device data , click All device data and settings.
To select which data to restore , click Select device data and settings. Select the check box next to the type of data you want to restore.
If your device includes built-in media storage and you want to restore, select the check box files stored in built-in media storage.
If the backup file is encrypted, type the password that you set during encryption .
Click Restore.
