Cannot activate Enterprise Sever use

Received a 9700 as an upgrade to my older BB.

Was given instructions on how to activate it for Enterprise Server use.

The instructions say to go to the Advanced Options menu and select the "Enterprise Activation" option. Problem is, there is no such option within my Advanced Options menu. Can someone help?

1.Go to Advanced Option->Host Routing Table

open menu and click on Register Now

2. then (when registration is finished) go to Advanced Option back - and you can see Enterprise Activation menu.

Did the "Host Routing" and got a reply in my inbox that my BB had been registered with the network, but still no options to allow Enterprise Activation. Is it possible that my service provider has not enabled Enterprise on my BB?

No

IF there are even activated BIS, in menu must be present Enterprise Activation

I think that there are some problems with SB  

 

So - we can try other way

 

1. Go to Service book type <Alt>S<Alt>B<Alt>E<Alt>B

2. Backup all information from phone (for insurence)

3. Delete all service book by hand (one by one Provisioning SB can be not allow to delete)

4. Restart phone (battery remove)

5. goto Advanced option and there are must be Enterprise Activation.

Reset the Service Book as advised.

It worked and the "Enterprise"function appeared in the "Advanced Options" Menu.

I selected it and the BB said it was connecting with the Enterprise server.

Then it came back with an error.

 

"The BlackBerry Enterprise Server has not responded to your activation request.

An error may have occurred."

 

I have the option to ask for me details and I get the following response.

 

"This may be due to one of the following:

- The email address has been entered incorrectly

-The activation email has been modified or moved from your email inbox by Spam/Attachment scanning software or a mail client rule.

-You have not yet been added to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

Please either cancel this request and contact your IT support team or continue to wait for a response."

 

When I went back to the Advanced Options Menu, the Enterprise Option was now gone.

Can you advise what to do as my IT guys are not clear on what is the problem.

1. Let your IT team to check password validate time on BES server, as ussually it's valid 2 day and only for one time - may be somthing go wrong and after confirm password not syncronizing correct your account.

2. If your on your PC installed Desctop Manager, it must be correctly configured. First of all install v.5 as the version 6 still have problem with rules, secod during installing DM (if you use Exchange MailServer with MS Outlook)  you must choose option "Integrate with work mail" and after connection your phone to PC it will be correctly synchronized.

3. If still not work

   1. do step 1 in this post

   2. do step 2 in this step (but not connect to PC your device)

   3. do step with wipe and restoration information from backup (steps which was writed upper)

   4. Re-check that your account activation password still valid and re-register

   5. Connect device to PC and try to synchronize with your DM

If you or your IT team will do step by step with checking it must be work.
