When you tried to clear your messages, do you mean that you did a Delete Prior as shown in this article? "How to use the Delete Prior option" http://bbry.lv/PA8mIv
If so, this could be caused by an issue with your Messages database. Please try first backing up all of your data then clearing the database. This should delete all the messages from your BlackBerry Bold smartphone.
