'Cannot log on to Exchange Server'

My Outlook Calender contacts, etc. are gone.  Need to sync my Blackberry info to Outlook.  When I try to sync it does not magically take my info and sync it.  This is a very recent problem and now today I get this response when syncing ' 'Cannot log on to Exchange server. Please check server access or provide a valid password.'
