I also have the same problem, are RIM normally as useless and uncareing about problems they have, if so need to change to Apple asap.

Try to reset ur phone. my mobile carrier did it for me today and it works now.

I think you need to take it to your service provider for a manufacturer master reset (not just a battery pull or security wipe).  The problem is you will lose all the data and applications and will have to re-install them.  Also, how long will app world last?  Will it stop working again?

yes you are right.

so remember to back up your data.

but sometimes it still has problem logging into app world.

error msg says that can't connect.

but at least u get pass the 1st stage.

I am pretty sure i have found the problem of being locked out of app world no thanks to RIM. As most of the people who have a Blackberry 9900  they probably upgraded from another Blackberry. Here lies the problem. When you bought your 9900 you logged in as I did using your old Password and email address. The 9900 accepted this but for some reason after a while it  see's that he Pin is different and  now will not let you login.

To fix the problem you need to do a full backup of your mobile then a full  Phone wipe, before restoring your data you need to login into app world , it will now ask if you wish to change to this new pin , you confirm you do, then you restore your data.  Hey presto everything is ok. Also please make sure you wipe your old phone.

Rather than taking it back to the service provider, there is a way on the phone under option, security and security wipe. Not sure whether I can just wipe the installed applications or everything including all application data?

After you do a full security wipe , the phone re boots . The Phone software  is  then back to when you took it out of the box from new.
