Cannot open e mail accounts on playbook

I came back to use my Torch 9800 (2010) after one year without use. Everything is fine except my two e-mail accounts. They appear in "Email Accounts" from Setup, but I can't see any msg. Also, when I try to setup email, a msg says that there is no one email adress registered. There is no connection with email accounts. What is wrong? Thanks for a prompt answer.

Please explain more fully...in your subject, you mention "playbook", but not again in the body of your post, so I am not at all sure exactly what you are attempting and on which device. Please be more explicit and detailed.
