Good day my mother in law Mari Bezuidenhout sold her Blackberry Curve she forgot her password and the answer to her securtiy question.  How can she reset the password and security answer so that the new owner can use the phone?

Hello AnjaBez

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums

Before selling and purchasing any BlackBerry , we should always perform a security wipe . It will remove anything that are associated with the previous owner . So , if you're mother inlaw sold her device then let the new owner use his / her own BlackBerry ID on that device , for that he had to perform a security wipe .Please refer to this Knowledge Base article and follow those steps ;

KB28225 : BlackBerry smartphone must be security wiped before transferring ownership

After a security wipe , the new user can use his own BlackBerry ID which is indeed necessary .
