Changing Email password on an outlook account.

I have a Microsoft outlook email account at work and we have to change our password every two months or so. I changed mine this morning and went to change it on my blackberry but it won't take the new password. It comes up with the following:

"Please verify your email account information. The information you provided is incorrect"

What am I doing wrong?

Re: Changing Email password on an outlook account.

Is this a corporate BES account?

OK, assuming that is a BES account... I would suggest you contact your BES Admin for a new activation.

Re: Changing Email password on an outlook account.

BES = BlackBerry Enterprise Service

You have an IT group, or someone who works with your BlackBerrys on staff?

The IT staff member told me I would probably need to contact AT&T.

Re: Changing Email password on an outlook account.

It sounds like OWA via BIS. You may have a few things at play:

1) If you cannot properly enter your OWA credentials via the BB interface to BIS, it may be necessary for you to create BIS credentials and then log in via a PC/browser. You can find your carrier BIS login page via this portal:

2) If your IT folks implemented ISA or some other OWA enhancements, it may be that it is no longer compatible with BIS. See this KB.

In any event, your carrier may well be able to help you out -- they are your formal support (though I find it strange that your internal IT folks don't want to help out at all).

Good luck and let us know!
