Changing Mass storage Option

I am trying to sync my BB with my laptop but it is showing me that your phone memory is too low, try using a memory card.

I do have 2 GB memory card inserted in it and even after this, it doesn't save anything in it and I am not able to sync.

When I checked in Optons>Device>Storage > It shows "Media card storage is not availbale because mass storage mode is currenlty in use"

Please advise further.

Your memory card is too small to allow for proper caching.  Try an 8 GB minimum size. We use 16 GB in all our phones.

When copying, backing up, and general management there has to be enough space for the OS and systems to be able to work with.
