Changing device hostname.

When connecting to a network via wifi the device reports its hostname as
something like Blackberry-XXXX which is also the default bluetooth
device name. How do I change the wifi network hostname to something
This is a very basic feature of any network device, but I'm unable to
find any help or documentation for the Blackberry. Thanks.

Re: Changing device hostname.

I too am interested in controlling how my blackberry appears when connected to a WIFI network.  I've done extensive searching and can't find the answer.  Is this really not possible without low-level access to the operating system?

Same by me, with a BB Passport and actually OS10 BES 12.2.1 managed..
If I change Bluetooth Name other Bluetooth devices see the changed name, but within WiFI I see only a BLACKBERRY-221B... Smiley Frustrated

after I moved my BB Passport between some different WIFI Networks within my infrastructure I get the same name like set on Bluetooth settings..

hmm, maybe a mistake from me, e.g. our DNS Infrastructure..
