Re: Closing open Applications

Suddenly my battery has started draining rapidly. Just since I downloaded the App store and a sudoko game. The Browser shows up as open and I've tried to close it repeatedly, but it's still there. What am I doing wrong?

I close from BBy menu.

Thanks

Sid

Hi there!

You will always have the following showing as running (in the AppSwitcher Ribbon):

  • Phone
  • BBMessenger (if you have it installed)
  • HomeScreen
  • Browser
  • Messages

It nevertheless is a good idea to properly close especially the Browser -- if you leave it on an auto-refreshing web page, it will eat your battery life terribly since it's not only using processing on your BB but also data network for each refresh.

Cheers!

Re: Closing open Applications - solved

So, how do I mark my message as solved?

Thanks

Only the originator of the thread can do so. Since you "hijacked" the thread for your inquiry, you have no control over marking the solution.

Best.
