Comma Wait Time Configurable?

When dialing a number, such as a conference call where a pause is needed, is the pause time waited after connection for a comma configurable?  It seems different devices or carriers wait different number of seconds when a comma is in the dial string.  

 

I do see in the phone options under "Smart Dialing" some options but not directly on the wait time for a comma.  And even if I try different options there it does not have an affect on the dialing wait time.

 

Basically, if I have a phone entry for "800-555-1234, 123456#" it works on some phones and not on others because the pause time for the comma seems shorter.

 

Please help.
