Conficker virus & blackberries

Has anyone heard if the conficker virus is going to affect our blackberries? And if so, does anyone know if there is anything that can be downloaded to protect it? Thanks.

Re: Conficker virus & blackberries

There has not been a virus written which affects BlackBerrys, so there is no anti-virus for something there is not!

Re: Conficker virus & blackberries

I got a funny message saying my memory on my BB this am (BB Pearl) saying the memoray is low. Never received a message like that before, and have 2.0gb memoray card of which 1.7 is available via what the options menu on media card. Then i found this on the net. Does anyone know how to clean the media card for conficker if in fact this is true??? Originally Posted by Wikipedia:Conficker Worm ...

While BlackBerry is not vulnerable, the media card can be infected to spread the worm.

Re: Conficker virus & blackberries

Hi GP,

Low Memory on BlackBerry device means phone memory is full. BlackBerry device saves all the SMS and Emails on device memory along with all 3rd pary applications. You can check your free memory from Options -> Status -> Free Memory.

Re: Conficker virus & blackberries

Hi Tanzim:

I had already done that. My concern is with the rest of it, i.e., the conficker worm to the blackberyy via the media card.

But thanks!
