I have a new BB Curve 8310. When I try to configure my synchronization, I receive the following: "Failed to connect to the device. Please make sure that the device is properly connected and try again."
My desktop manager shows that I am connected under USB and Bluetooth. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I had the same problem. I am running windows xp on the PC and 4.5 desktop manager. My device software is 220.127.116.11.
The PC recognized the Blackberry but not the desktop manager. After about 1 hour I finally de-installed the Desktop manager from the PC and re-installed it. (this being the lesser of other evils !) Tried it again and it sync'd the first time.
I have also read that Vista users have some problems, and that in some cases USB drivers on the PC are corrupted.
Might try re-installing the Desktop Manager!
