Constant loading

Every 10-12 seconds i get the little loading clock in the middle of the screen that lasts 3 seconds and stops me doing anything else.

Seems like it is doing something behind the scenes but i don't know what.

Been going on for a few days.

Making phone unusable.

Battery draining in matter of hours.

Phone is a week old.

Battery pull didnt work.

Nothing open apart from what is normally open on loading. (Home, Messages,Phone, BBMessenger, Browser)

No user installed apps.

Carrier - O2

9780 -  OS 6.0 Bundle 1879 (v6.0.0.448, Platform 6.5.0.136)

Re: Constant loading

At Options > Security, look at your Memory Cleaner.

Is it enabled? If so, please disable it.

1.Remove for 5 min battery

after 5 min place battery and switch on

2. Variant JSanders - post upper.

3.As ussually it's happened when you BES account and reloading your profile, nut if you don't have BES acoount:

it's mean that some third-party application not correct work, restart phone in safe mode and remove this program.

_______________________________________________________________________________

Safe mode:

When starting the BlackBerry smartphone, safe mode can be used to prevent third-party applications from running automatically. Safe mode is designed to allow troubleshooting or remove any unwanted applications.

To turn on safe mode, complete the following steps:

  1. Remove and reinsert the BlackBerry smartphone battery.
  2. When the red light-emitting diode (LED) light goes out, press and hold the Escape key as the BlackBerry smartphone is loading. See KB05470 for the location of the Escape key. (The Escape key is located on the right side of the trackball, above the keyboard on the BlackBerry smartphone.Use the Escape key to exit a screen, move back a page in the browser, close a message, or close a menu.
  3. When the dialog box appears, click OK.

Note: Safe mode is indicated by a safe mode indicator in the BlackBerry smartphone status section of the Home screen.

To turn off safe mode, remove and reinsert the BlackBerry smartphone battery.

4. If no third-party application - maybe it's reasonable to reload OS

Safe mode - for temporary use - that you can remove unwanted or damaged application.

If your device working normal in Safe Mode - try uninstall (delete) third party application (which you whenever install, but do not touch to the system programm) and reboot normal, must work.

If there are no third-party programm - it's mean that some system file not working properly, so must be reloaded OS

Those are quite complicated and lengthy instructions for upgrading or reloading the device operating system. It only takes three steps.

See the link below, for the download and simple installation instructions.

First locate your carrier and the OS file you wish to use.
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion.

1. Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

Re: Constant loading

@RandomV, just a note to you, that in THIS forum, RIM does not allow recommendatons or links to installing leaked RIM software. It has been forbidden in the past.

So, just as a word of wisdom, I'd recommend editing this post above to remove that, and ask the moderators to edit and remove similar links you've made in the past.

Your posts are VERY helpful (and detailed Smiley Happy almost too detailed, but so be it, and I don't want to discourage you from helping users here. Just make sure you know the guidelines about posting about leaked unreleased software.

Third party apps... would you check for me anyway... at Options > Device > Application Management.

Scroll to the TOP header where it might say "ALL" and click to "optional".

What is installed?
