Contact synchronization

My blackberry 9300 only shows 30 of my hundreds of contacts on my Hotmail/outlook account that i have on my pc.

 

I have tried syncing wirelessly and also through Blackberry desktop software.

 

I get stuck when it asks for a profile and will not allow me to add anything.

 

Can any one help please?

To better help I would like to confirm what it is you are trying to do. 

 

Are you syncing your BlackBerry Curve 9300 smartphone contacts with Outlook using BlackBerry Desktop Software?

 

At what point are you being prompted for a "profile"?

 

When did the issue develop?

Hi

I wasusing hotmail for ages then without choice was chucked onto outlook a few months back. However, not sure that is related. I have turned off the wireless sync on my mobile as requested.

Click the box to syn contacts. pressed configure

Requested "One way to device from computer"

pressed configure.

Contacts account- showing drop down bar showing Microsoft outlook or windows

Chose Microsoft outlook

Account settings asking for account profile, drop down box empty!

 

Perhaps it is something to do with making Microsoft Outlook my default mali client??

Thanks for listening. I am not massively clued up but when things are explained I can follow.  This has got me stumped.

Hello Fairclough,

If you go to your computer's Control Panel>Mail>Show Profiles, do you see the profile labeled "Outlook" listed? If no profile is listed you may need to address the configuration of Outlook. BlackBerry Desktop Software utilizes the profiles listed in this location.
