This is my first post. I am having this continuing problem with my contacts list. I use a new MacBook Pro and the application "Address Book" to sync my contacts to my BB Bold 9700. I recently added about 7 new contacts and put them all as a separate group (for work). Now when I get on my phone and try to enter text in the Contacts menu, so that I can look for specific names, the phone says no contacts available. For instance, I will open contacts, type the letter T, and the phone says no contacts/add contact. This is ridiculous because I have numerous contacts that start with the letter T. I had this problem a few weeks ago when I added a bunch of contacts for a team project from school. Somehow the contact list worked itself out but i don't remember how. Please,if anyone can lend a hand I would greatly appreciate it.

Bryan, on the device go to the Address Book > press the Menu key > Filters.
Now, UNcheck any filters that are checked. And now look for your Ts again.. or whatever.

same problem here - was working fine for about a month, now i'm syncing (same OS and app as first dude) and they're all on the device, but i have to go into the contacts and scroll down to the contact i want to call / text / email. it doesn't even let me search INSIDE the contacts - when I can see the contact below what i'm typing in the search field.

Please follow the procedure below to correct your address book search error.
Go into your BlackBerry Address book
Hold down the Alt key and type "rbld" The address book will then be re-indexed which should allow it to search properly.
