Contacts

I know this is probably something simple. But I can't seem to figure out how to save all my contacts to the sim card. I am getting a replacement phone today and was advised I should do this. Can anyone help me with this?

Re: Contacts

Ugh... saving numbers to a SIM card is not the best way, but... open the Address Book.

Open a contact.

Scroll over phone number and press the Menu key > Save to SIM Phone book.

And , yes one at a time, each number.

If you are getting a replacement BlackBerry, do a backup of the current device using the Desktop Software.

Re: Contacts

Or just use the Switch Device Wizard in Desktop Manager, which will copy EVERTHING from your old phone to the new one.

Re: Contacts

I had this same question. I have everything backed up, but there is currently nothing on the SIM card that came with my BB back in September. I switched from another carrier, so all my numbers had to be entered manually. I thought there might be some way to copy all of them at once, but apparently not. I do know that both the BB Desktop Application and AT&T (if that is your carrier) have an option to back up all your contacts for you. I use both. This way, if something happens to my computer, AT&T has all my stuff backed up as well. Check with your carrier. They may offer this service as well.
