Content protection and encryption

Hi,

 

I've been reading about the encryption available in the memory screen, and content protection under security general settings.

They both seem to do the same thing (although I'm guessing I'm wrong here). Is there any point having them both turned on?

Hi Paul,

 

     The Encryption listed under Options | Memory is only if you have a media card inserted. I don't believe the Content Protection protection the media card contents. Here's2 KB articles that details the differences between the 2:
