Crunch SMS

I recently bought a bb curve 8520 and the previous user had installed crunch sms. I deleted this and now have no sms/mms icon, no inbox or sentbox and dont seem to be receiving texts. Can anybody help?

Hello CameronOates and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.


When you received the BlackBerry, do you know if there was a security wipe done? 


I would suggest you reinstall the device software.


Back up your device data and follow the steps in KB11320 to reinstall your software.


Before you restore any data, look for the SMS icon and have someone text you.


If the issue still persists where you aren't able to get SMS, you will need to contact your mobile carrier for further investigation.
