Curve 8330 and Bluetooth with Desktop Manager

I recently purchased a Blackberry Curve 8330 and am having problems syncing data with my Desktop manager using Bluetooth.  The USB connection works without a hitch, but I cannot sync with Bluetooth.  I am able to pair the device to the computer without a problem, but when I attempt to add the device within the Desktop Manager Connection options, it performs a search and cannot find the device.  I am running Desktop manager version 4.6 (latest posted on Aug 15th).  My system is a Dell XPS running Vista Business Edition.  Wondering if anyone has experienced similar issues?  Wondering if I'm missing a setting...

Re: Curve 8330 and Bluetooth with Desktop Manager

Desktop Manager does not recognize any bluetooth drivers (stacks) other than the basic Windows Bluetooth Stack.  If you have another bluetooth stack in use, you'll need to remove it and let Windows install the basic bluetooth stack.  The downside of this is that you loose some of the advanced features that your current bluetooth stack gives...extra speed, etc.  However, that's the only way to make bluetooth work with Desktop manager.

Re: Curve 8330 and Bluetooth with Desktop Manager

I attempted to uninstall the drivers and have windows install the basic drivers, still same issue...the computer will sense and pair up to the unit, but it still won't be visible under the bluetooth configurations settings in Desktop Manager.  Would it make a difference if during the install, I had selected the option of the "store bought" vs. the option that allows you to configure with an Enterprise Server?

Re: Curve 8330 and Bluetooth with Desktop Manager

My computer > Hardware > device manager.  Look under USB for the Blackberry Smartphone.  It will probably show a error.  Try doing a driver rollback.
