Curve 8520 Password Help?

I've just switched to my BlackBerry after using another Phone. A Password has been put on by a member of my family. I have attempted 9 times to unlock it, and it's incorrect. Nothing is on the phone. If I try again and fail, what will be erased? Should I try again? Thanks

Re: Curve 8520 Password Help?

Hello

On the 10th time, if incorrect, the phone will automatically do a security wipe, removing all contact info and emails. Also all 3rd party apps. Basically as it would be when you crack the seal and take it out of the box for the 1st time.
