Curve 8520 cant play avi videos (or flv, etc.)

[ Edited ]

Last time I checked, curve 8520 supports avi, flv, etc. But its not playing on mine. I tried downloading a sample flv online and its not recognized on the media library (maybe because I downloaded it using the bb browser?)

I sent a sample avi file from pc to my phone and that showed up. I remember I got to play a video before but I forgot what file format it was.
