I had that problem with my 9300 a few months ago. Apparently, there are quite a number of us who experienced that problem. I tried everything. I did a complete wipe and just loaded my calendar and contacts but still nothing. The only solution was to replace the trackpad. When I had it done, everything worked out fine.

Have purchased 60 days back and i have problem with the track pad....earlier it was moving automatically and sometime i had to switch of the device to stop moving and today the pad is not working at all. I am not going to recommend this for my college and friends. Bad experience and i have not able read sms, read email and only thing u can do attend a call. The phone doesnt have the options to manage the show without trackpad.
I went to the service center around 6.30 pm and they work only 10 am-06 pm. How can some one go to a service center during office hours, either it has to start early and close early or start late and stay till 8 pm. I will have tough time in getting it serviced.
If some one has tried the software reload option please reply.
